Terms of Use
End User License Agreement (EULA) for the Bitecast app and services.
Effective date: June 10, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bitecast mobile application, website at bitecast.tv, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by the developer of Bitecast (bundle identifier com.bitecast.bitecast). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. License
Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Bitecast app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial household meal planning and cooking purposes, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these Terms.
2. Beta software
Bitecast may be offered through TestFlight or other beta channels before general App Store release. Beta builds may contain bugs, incomplete features, or changed behavior. Beta access is provided “as is” without warranties. We may change or end beta access at any time.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). You must meet Apple’s age requirements for in-app purchases where applicable.
4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal
Bitecast offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (for example, Basic and Premium tiers) billed through your Apple ID. When you purchase a subscription:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal — subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Price and length — the plan name, price, and billing period (for example, monthly or annual) are shown in the App Store purchase sheet and in-app paywall before you confirm.
- Free trials — if offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under Apple’s rules.
- Manage or cancel — open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or use in-app Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription (Customer Center).
- Restore — use Restore purchases in Settings if you reinstall or change devices.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We do not store your full payment card details.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs beyond normal app use.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
- Attempt to bypass access tiers, rate limits, or security controls.
- Use the Service to provide medical, allergy, or safety advice to others without independent verification.
You also agree to our Community Guidelines. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Bitecast.
6. AI-generated content and photos
Recipe suggestions, chat responses, and related outputs are generated by automated systems and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying ingredients, allergens, cook times, and food safety before cooking.
When you submit photos (for example, for Chef capture or nutrition features), those images may be processed by third-party AI providers to identify food and generate suggestions, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit images you do not have rights to share or that contain sensitive information unrelated to meal planning.
7. Intellectual property
Bitecast, its logos, software, and curated content are owned by us or our licensors. Your recipes and household content remain yours; you grant us the rights needed to host, process, and display that content to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Bitecast does not provide medical or dietary advice; nutrition estimates are informational only.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (license limits, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms at this URL and update the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Material changes may be communicated in the app or App Store release notes.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
